Kunjallur Narasimha moorthi temple is believed to be one of the very ancient temples in North Malabar aka Kadathanadu and is situated in a locality known as Kunjallur in Purameri, Kozhikode district. The temple is more than thousand years old.
Kunjallur is privileged to be seat of one of the rare temples of Kerala where Narasimhamoorthy is enshrined as the main God and is in the disposition of saving Prahalada from demon Hiranyakasipu. Those who worshiped Kunjallurappa will undoubtedly be duly rewarded. The main sanctum sanctorum is circular in shape with copper plated roof with a namaskara mandapam in the front. Although a small temple, the prowess of Lord Narasimha is really astonishing.
The sub-deities worshiped in this temple are Lord Ganapathi, Lord Sastha, Goddess Durga, Goddess Bhadrakaali, Lord Vettakkaran and Lord Krishna as "Venna Krishnan" (Krishna as a small child who likes butter).
The right for tantric rituals of the temple are vested with Thekkiniyedathu Tharananellur illam.

2. Celebration of Ekadasi in the month of Vaisakha with a special pooja and "Kaalkazhichoottu".

5. Thiruvonam in the month Chingam.
